The latest software release features an
integrated online shopping cart to boost manufacturers' product sales
IQMS, a manufacturing ERP software and MES
developer with an ongoing, proactive commitment to its product and
relationships, today announced the release of its new business-to-consumer
online shopping portal. The WebDirect B2C secure storefront module rounds out
IQMS' suite of online products that improve communication and customer service
across the supply chain.
“A retail shopping cart program was simply
a natural progression for our development team. We never want our customers to
have to integrate a third-party tool to get the solutions that they need.”
The WebDirect B2C storefront encourages
consumers to browse inventory, make product purchases, monitor order status and
view order history directly from the manufacturers' website at the click of a
mouse. WebDirect B2C was developed with SSL encryption technology and adheres
to strict PA-DSS credit card security standards.
A rich user interface allows the
manufacturer to customize the WebDirect B2C storefront in minutes to match its
corporate identity. Products for sale can also be easily enhanced with
descriptions, multiple images, product features and external documents to make
the shopping experience pleasant and encourage return business.
Unlike other standalone shopping cart
programs that have to be configured to interface with an ERP system, the
WebDirect B2C eCommerce module is part of the EnterpriseIQ solution. Quantity
price breaks, document control and inventory level integration can all be
updated from within EnterpriseIQ and reflected into the store, such as the
verification and update of inventory levels to show out-of-stock indicators.
Once a purchase is made, users can easily convert web orders to sales orders
and ship out as normal in EnterpriseIQ.
"IQMS prides itself on offering a
comprehensive software solution - from EDI to MES to quality and financial
management," said Glenn Nowak, vice president at IQMS. "A retail
shopping cart program was simply a natural progression for our development
team. We never want our customers to have to integrate a third-party tool to
get the solutions that they need."
